At Northshore, we’re all about adventure, community, and looking after our environment—so when we heard about Lance Peterson’s incredible challenge to support the Final Straw Foundation, we knew we had to get behind him.
Lance isn’t just taking on any challenge; he’s pushing himself to the limit for a cause that matters. On March 14th, he’ll be:
✔ Swimming 9 km across the Solent
✔ Running 100 km around the Isle of Wight
✔ Tackling over 2,500 meters of elevation gain

All of this to raise £1,500 for the Final Straw Foundation, a charity working tirelessly to reduce plastic pollution and protect our oceans.
How We’re Supporting Lance
We won’t just be cheering from the sidelines—we’ll be right there alongside him on one of our Ballistic RIBs, our team at Boat Club Trafalgar will be providing the support RIB for his Solent swim, ensuring his safety as he takes on the water. And once he’s conquered the challenge, we’ll be there to bring him back to shore, celebrating his achievement with him.
We’re proud to stand by Lance as he pushes through this incredible test of endurance, determination, and purpose.
Why This Matters
Our coastline is more than just a beautiful backdrop—it’s a vital ecosystem that needs our care. The Final Straw Foundation is dedicated to cleaning up our waters, raising awareness, and driving change to protect marine life. Their work aligns perfectly with our values at Northshore, and we’re proud to support their mission through Lance’s challenge.
How You Can Help
Lance has already raised over £1000 from generous supporters, but he needs help reaching his goal. If you’d like to back his efforts, you can donate via his JustGiving page.
Every contribution, no matter the size, supports vital work in keeping our waters clean and our marine ecosystems thriving.
We’ll be following Lance’s progress and cheering him on every step (and stroke!) of the way. Join us in supporting this incredible challenge and making a difference for our oceans!
