We’re really pleased to welcome Chichester Boat Club to their new home here at Northshore Boatyard, Itchenor.
They’ve chosen to base themselves with us to make the most of our brand-new Valet Lift and Launch service and the ease of direct harbour access. With boats stored safely ashore and launched by our team when needed, it’s a smooth, stress-free way to get afloat — no slipway queues, no waiting at the lock. Just more time on the water, where it counts.
“Northshore is a great fit for us,” says Chris Weld, Director and Principal of Chichester Boat Club. “The setting is beautiful, access is straightforward, and the team has been incredibly helpful and welcoming. We’re really enjoying starting our season here.”

But Chichester Boat Club isn’t just about membership. From their new base at Northshore, they also run RYA powerboat training and skippered charters — including luxury day trips across the Solent to The Hut at Colwell Bay on the Isle of Wight. It’s the kind of day out you won’t forget: good food, fresh air, and arriving in style by boat.
Whether you’re building your confidence, brushing up your skills, or just keen to explore, their team makes it easy.
With our own Northshore Boat Club launching in May, we know a few people might wonder how both clubs fit side by side. For us, it’s simple — we’re glad they’re here.
We offer different things, and that’s exactly what makes it work. More choice means more local people can find a boating experience that suits them. We’re all about helping people enjoy the water — and if we can do that together, even better.
This is just one part of a bigger picture here at Northshore. We’re building a space that brings together boating, skills, great service, and a real sense of community. Whether you’ve got your own boat, want to join a club, or just enjoy being around the water, you’re always welcome.
We’re proud to have Chichester Boat Club on site — and excited to see where the season takes us.
